VIB offers international fellowships to integrative biology postdocs who have advanced skills in  omics technologies.


The omics@VIB postdoc program offers a highly stimulating and multicultural environment. Embedded in brilliant research groups, you will be working on breakthrough science, with access to cutting-edge technologies, three year secured funding and personal career help.

We expect you to propose your own integrative biology project, focusing on the use or the introduction of ‘omics’ (bioinformatics, metagenomics, genomics, proteomics…) in the research topic of your choice.

VIB International Postdoc program “OMICS@vib” is open to applicants from all nationalities.
Applicants should not have been carrying out research in Belgium for
more than 12 months during the last 3 years before the deadline of the
program on 15/09/2013.


Postdocs selected for this program should be able to start their postdoc project before 1/6/2014.




University degree


Applicants must hold a PhD degree before the start of the fellowship, but not necessarily when applying.


 



Publication record


Applicants must have a proven record of research accomplishments and
at least one original first author publication (including joint
authorship), either published in or accepted by an international
peer-reviewed journal with high recognition in the field.




Experience


Candidates should not have more than 5 years of postdoc experience at the moment of the deadline, 15 September 2013. 


 



Career Break


One additional year will be
taken into account for every childbirth or any other officially stated
career break reason (caring for sick children or parents, additional
studies…)


 



Language


English is used in all VIB
laboratories for spoken and written scientific communication. Candidates
must deliver proof of a solid English knowledge. Adding TOEFL test results in your cv is recommended.

Beasiwa 2013 Fulbright Dikti Master Degree Scholarship, American Indonesian Exchange Foundation, USA

The program is open to applicants who serve as part time or permanent faculty members of state and private institutions of higher education in Indonesia. Applicants will possess:



a Bachelor (S1) degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (4.00 scale)
a leadership qualities
a excellent understanding of Indonesian and international cultures
a demonstrated commitment to the chosen field of study
a willingness to return to Indonesia upon completion of the Fulbright-DIKTI program
a minimum institutional TOEFL score of 550 or IELTS score of 6.0 or IBT score of 79/80. Please note that TOEFL prediction or TOEFL-like score cannot be accepted.
DISCIPLINES
All disciplines and fields of study are eligible for a Fulbright award. The fields of study covered by the Fulbright scholarship program in the past were limited to the Social Sciences and Humanities. Since 2004, but, the policy has been changed to include also other disciplines with the exception of fields related to patient care or medical training nor to continue their study at medical school.

Candidates should complete the appropriate application form which can be downloaded below and send it to DIKTI address as shown on the last page of the application form. Please return your complete application package by the application deadline that includes:

Completed application form. This includes a clearly written and concise one page study objective.
Copy of your most recent, less than two years ancient, ITP/IBT TOEFL or IELTS score report.
One letter of reference, either from your current employer or previous lecturer.
Copy of academic transcript and diploma (English translation).
Copy of identity document (KTP or passport).

Australia Perth Scholarships for International Students, Australia

The Society for Underwater Technology (SUT), through its Educational
Support Fund, will offer annual scholarship awards to either
undergraduate and postgraduate students undertaking studies that embrace
relevant component areas of marine science, underwater technology or
offshore engineering. Applicants are welcome to apply where they can
demonstrate a clear interest in pursuing a career in a relevant area of
underwater technology.

to six scholarships for fulltime students entering the last two years of
their undergraduate course, or undertaking a postgraduate course.


The undergraduate scholarship awards may continue throughout the
remaining part of the degree course, subject to a satisfactory academic
standard being maintained. This performance will be reviewed annually.
(Note: re-application via the web site is necessary to be considered for
continuance of the scholarship.)


The grants are open to any student studying in Australia,
irrespective of age or nationality.



ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS


Postgraduate candidates should have a first degree in a
relevant engineering or science subject, and have enrolled in a
postgraduate course of study related to offshore engineering, marine
science or underwater technology


Undergraduate candidates should have permission to proceed to
their third or final year of their degree course.


Scholarship applicants must be enrolled in full time education.
Applicants who are employed full time are not eligible for the
scholarship, but, part-time employment is acceptable.


Applicants are required to be enrolled at university full-time for at
least the first semester of 2014.



WHEN TO APPLY


Students wishing to be considered for an SUT sponsorship award should
complete and return the application form, academic transcripts and
academic reference by Thursday 1st August 2013.

Late applications including late copies of academic transcripts
& academic references will not be entertained, they must be received by
1st August 2013.



SELECTION PROCEDURE


Selection will be on the basis of the information provided in the
application form, the academic referees, and an interview of the
small-listed candidates. It is vital to ensure that all sections of
the application are fully completed. Applicants will be informed of the
outcome of the assessment before end October 2013.



SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS


The Society’s Educational Support Fund will award sponsorship of
$5000 per annum for a full academic year. (50% paid end of February 2014
and remaining 50% paid June 2014)


In addition to the financial sponsorship, SUT will aim to provide
free attendance to relevant SUT professional development courses for
successful candidates.


SUT Scholars may apply for other sources of funding, and still be
eligible for an SUT Sponsorship

Kriteria penerima beasiswa

Kewajiban penerima beasiswa

Penerima beasiswa berhak
a. Mendapat dana beasiswa sesuai jadwal disbursement. Disbursement dana:
    Living cost sebesar Rp. 2.000.000 per-bulan yang dibayarkan kepada mahasiswa setiap tanggal 10 pada awal semester melalui Koordinator Kemahasiswaan dan Alumni FKUI ( setelah menyelesaikan pertanggungjawaban pengeluarannya sebelum tgl 10 awal semester tersebut)
b. Didampingi dan dipantau oleh PA
c. Mendapatkan “Kakak Angkat”, yaitu mahasiswa senior yang dapat membantu mengatasi kesulitan akademik maupun nonakademik.
d. Sisa uang beasiswa menjadi milik mahasiswa penerima
e. Mendapatkan konseling apabila membutuhkan.
f. Atas dugaan penerima beasiswa tidak dapat memenuhi kewajibannya, berhak memberi penjelasan untuk mendapat pertimbangan.

 Kesempatan untuk memperoleh beasiswa master Fulbright ke Amerika Serikat kembali dibuka. Bersama dengan American Indonesian Exchange Foundation (Aminef), Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (DIKTI Kemdikbud) kembali membuka peluang bagi warga negara Indonesia (WNI).

Kesempatan ini hanya diberikan kepada kandidat yang bekerja sebagai staf pengajar di institusi pendidikan tinggi di Indonesia, baik swasta maupun pegawai negeri sipil (PNS). Selain itu, kandidat juga harus memiliki syarat-syarat di bawah ini:
